2003
On April 27, 2003, Phillies" righty Kevin Millwood no-hits the Giants, 1-0, in Philadelphia. The no-hitter comes exactly one year after baseball"s last no-hitter: by Derek Lowe of the Red Sox.

2002
On April 27, 2002, Derek Lowe becomes the first pitcher to toss a no-hitter at Fenway Park in 37 years. The Boston right-hander blanks Tampa Bay, 10-0. The last no-hitter at Fenway Park had been thrown by Dave Morehead in 1965.

1996
On April 27, 1996, Barry Bonds of the San Francisco Giants becomes only the fourth player to hit 300 home runs and steal 300 bases. With two home runs against the Florida Marlins, Bonds joins Willie Mays, Andre Dawson, and his father, Bobby Bonds, in the exclusive club.

1983
On April 27, 1983, future Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan becomes the all-time strikeout king in major league history. The Houston Astros' ace strikes out Brad Mills of the Montreal Expos to record his 3,509th strikeout, surpassing Walter Johnson for the all-time record.

1975
On April 27, 1975, the New York Yankees make a fruitful trade with the Cleveland Indians, acquiring first baseman Chris Chambliss and pitchers Dick Tidrow and Cecil Upshaw for four players, including pitchers Fritz Peterson and Steve Kline. Chambliss and Tidrow will become key contributors to the Yankees' pennant-winning teams from 1976 to 1978.

1971
On April 27, 1971, Atlanta Braves slugger Hank Aaron becomes the third man to reach the 600-home run milestone. Aaron hits a 350-foot blast off Giants" hurler Gaylord Perry, joining Babe Ruth and Willie Mays in the exclusive club. Aaron will eventually surpass both players, becoming the game's all-time home run king.

1971
On April 27, 1971, Willie Stargell sets a major league record by hitting his 11th home run during the month of April. Stargell's 430-foot blast, which comes against Pete Mikkelsen of the Los Angeles Dodgers, clears the center field wall at Three Rivers Stadium.

1968
On April 27, 1968, Tom Phoebus of the Baltimore Orioles pitches a no-hitter against the Boston Red Sox. Future Hall of Famer Brooks Robinson preserves the no-hitter with a diving play in the eighth inning and also drives in half of the Orioles' runs in the 6-0 victory…

1947
On April 27, 1947, the New York Yankees hold Babe Ruth Day at Yankee Stadium. A crowd of 58,339 attends the ceremony at "The House That Ruth Built" to honor the game's all-time home run leader, who is dying of throat cancer. Ruth will succumb the following summer…

On April 27, 1944, Boston Braves knuckleballer Jim "Abba Dabba" Tobin no-hits the Brooklyn Dodgers, 2-0. Tobin hits a home run to support his own cause, becoming the first pitcher to go deep in his own no-hitter.

1937
On April 27, 1937, Cardinals" trainer Doc Weaver uses a video camera to record his team in action during a practice. Manager Frankie Frisch later uses the film to work with his players on their fundamentals. It"s one of the earliest uses of video for training purposes in the major leagues.

1916
